Eye Health Screening
Many eye diseases develop silently — screening helps catch them early, while your sight can still be protected.

What it is
An eye health screening looks beyond your prescription to assess the overall health of your eyes. Through a detailed examination of the front and back of the eye, our optometrists check for conditions that often develop with little or no warning — the kind that can quietly affect your vision if left undetected. Screening becomes especially important from around the age of 40, and for anyone with diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of eye disease. Where needed, we explain our findings in plain language and refer you to an ophthalmologist for further care.
Conditions we screen for
Many of these develop silently, so regular screening is the best way to catch them early.
Glaucoma
gradual damage to the optic nerve that often has no symptoms in its early stages
Cataracts
clouding of the eye's natural lens, causing blur, glare, and dull or hazy vision
Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)
affects the central vision used for reading, driving, and recognising faces
Diabetic Retinopathy
damage to the retina's blood vessels linked to diabetes and blood-sugar control
